Marketing a business is not for the faint of heart- that’s for sure. It takes a ton of time and energy to market your business effectively, and you might start to question if it’s really worth it. I can promise you that it is. From growth to sales, effective and consistent marketing can have positive impacts on your business’s success.
What does it mean to grow your audience? Think of your ideal customer- the one you really want to sell to, and then think about having 10 of those customers, and then 100, and then 1,000. Sounds great, right?
Growing your audience, aka your customer base, requires an effective marketing strategy, and you can reach your audience any number of ways. Some businesses choose to reach their customers on social media. Others try email marketing. It all depends on where your customers are on a daily basis.
People are creatures of habit. Some people check their Instagram feed the minute they wake up. Others check their emails at lunch time. Some people don’t subscribe to social media and only read the newspaper. Learning about your audience and their habits will help you identify where to reach them and which marketing strategies will be helpful in helping you grow your customer base.
Increase In Brand Awareness
Brand awareness is exactly what it sounds like- your audience being aware of your brand. Not only are they aware of your brand, but they also can spot your brand’s products, services, content, etc. from a mile away—or when they’re scrolling through their Facebook feeds.
Growing your audience will almost always increase brand awareness simply because the more eyes you have on your brand or business, the more recognizable it will be. However, it’s important to include branding in your marketing strategy. Elements like logos, color palettes, brand voice and tone all contribute to the success of your brand, and the more consistent you are in the way you showcase your brand or business, the more likely people are to recognize it when they see it.
Take Coca-Cola for example. We all recognize the Coca-Cola brand from its signature red color and script font to the classic shape of a Coke bottle. But you don’t have to be a corporate giant like Coca-Cola to increase your brand awareness- you just need to have an effective marketing strategy.
Increase In Website Traffic
Many businesses have websites where they sell products and/or services. The more you increase traffic to your website, the higher your chances are of making a sale. To do this, you need a marketing strategy that includes Search Engine Optimization (SEO), spectacular copy, and a strong brand presence. You can also increase website traffic by linking to your site on social media or doing regular email campaigns.
All marketing is interconnected and works together to result in. . .
